It’s been a slow week around here for blogging and working (we’ll be back to shipping every day on Monday). The weather has been mostly warm and sunny, and because it’s been a while since I’ve taken a real vacation, I’ve taken a little time off each day. I am now in full blown need of a summer beach vacation after this little taste of sun and relaxation! Before I can even think about where to go I am of course picking a new swim suit. The past two seasons one piece suits have been quite popular, which works out perfect since I’m a one piece kind of girl! This year details such as cut outs and fabric twists are big at my favorites Anthropologie and J.Crew. Here are my top three picks:
I love the fabric ruching on the sides and the glam key hole cut out on this Deck Work Suit by Anthropologie. I also love the navy color…
Throw on shorts or a skirt and walk around in this “shirt like” Goddess Sekhmet Suit, again from Anthropologie. I actually like the dark slate color and adore the fabric twists and halter.
J.Crew swim suits last forever and always fit great. I love the Solid Ruched V Bandeau Tank in navy for the unexpected open V and of course the color! It’s probably my favorite and it’s on sale right now for less than half of the first two suits. I can’t wait to hit the beach this summer and had so much fun this week dreaming about fun and sun!
I’ll be back next week with some gorgeous new jewelry from the summer Naugi line.
Have a great weekend!

Bridal Market Fashion from New York
Monday, April 6th, 2009I’ve been on high alert all weekend following the many, many live updates from the Bridal Fashion Market in NY. Brides.com is doing a fantastic job on Twitter (@brides) and on their blog and Darcy Miller and Katie Hatch are doing a superb job on The Brides Guide blog by Martha Stewart. I’m sorry to my family for being on my phone all weekend hungrily checking for updates!Platinum by Priscilla of Boston does this gorgeous high end line featuring luxurious fabrics and embellishments. What a dramatic fashion forward piece shown above!!!
I would have loved to see the Carolina Herrera show at Tiffany & Co. in NY last night. Her collection was inspired by painters such as Goya, Matisse, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Tamara de Lempicka, Giovanni Boldini, Georges Seurat. Each stunning gown reflected details defining each artist’s style. The above image is from this collection, but I can’t figure out which artist this gown reflects. I majored in art history in college- bad student!!
I really wish I could have been in New York to see these shows in person. Thank goodness for the age of blogging and micro blogging!!
