What Our Customers Are Saying

Beautiful stuff on this website. It can be sorta pricey, but definitely worth it. Their work is quality work and still a bit cheaper than ordering from a bridal shop. Plus they can totally customize the work they do. For example, they made my tiara into a back piece to be tucked into my hair. — Racheal from MD

Deco Society Collection

deco-feathers-zo

Aside from the design my favorite part about this collection is the name. I’m an art history buff so any references make me happy, thus we have the Deco Society collection of pieces. You know I’m not a big fan of feathers because they make me sneeze, but they are ethereal and pretty… and they really are in demand right now. I love the piece above tucked into the low side of a messy bun- you can just see a hint of the feathers from the front- very pretty.

If you prefer no feathers… the unadorned version.

I wear the gold and turquoise version of the Deco Society earrings all the time. Very pretty…

New for Spring – The Luvabow Collection

luvabowzo

luvabow_cuffzo

This is without question my new favorite design! I know I say this often, but this bow is just so sweet, and looks gorgeous tucked in the side of a messy bun. Really very perfect.  The cuff bracelets are a new addition to line that I am quite smitten with. I have a headband version of this design. Sadly, it didn’t make it to the photo shoot last week. The bow is set asymmetrically on the band. Very cute. Email me if interested. Thanks to Paula for for tweeting me the fabulous name of “Luvabow”! More new designs to follow soon…

Designer’s Notebook – January Edition

designers-notebook1

I have black velvet pads all over the studio with messily arranged sparkly things, most are finished, a few are unfinished, and some just have pieced together ideas- thus, they are my notebooks. I began organizing all the new designs today for a photo shoot I’m planning next week and I am a bit overwhelmed! Recently we got a new computer that doesn’t support the Canon digital software I use to take photos with, so…a lot of new designs have accumulated.  Trust, it was an ugly mess which involved a few tears, and a determined and super smart hubby. We’re back on track now and I can’t wait to have all the new pieces up online soon. The pieces shown above are remnants of the “notebooks”. They are new and not available online yet, but as usual if you see something you like just let me know.

In other news I am super excited about our new campaign which will go up on Style Me Pretty in February. Speaking of…did anyone happen to see the guest post by erin ever after on Style Me Pretty today? I was floored by the emerald Gucci dress the bride wore in her Mexican wedding. Just so gorgeous, really…I love when fashion collides so well with weddings!

Have a great weekend!

Amsale’s Very Romantice Juliette Gown & New Naugi

Monday, August 10th, 2009

My love for Amsale goes back a decade or maybe even more. Then I was taken in by the glamorous gowns (and ads) and the romanticism they invoked.  I bought a beautiful pale ivory Amsale gown for my wedding several years ago, but ended up selling it and wearing another gown. Indecisive? Yes! I still look forward to seeing the new Amsale designs every season. I am in love with the bodice detail on the gown below aptly named Juliette and was just too happy to pair it with one of our new fall designs!

amsale_2009

After designing the Rosaline Hair Ornament below I envisioned it paired with a flowing romantic gown like this Amsale. It’s a perfect compliment to the floral embroidered bodice detail. I almost attached this design asymmetrically to a headband…I couldn’t decide, still might. It looks very chic worn in flat in front.  For me there are always too many possibilities (thus buying more than one wedding gown, three in fact)!

New for Fall – A Loosely Rolled Chignon & Delicate Leaves

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

bladesofgrass_back

We had a photo shoot last Friday with the beautiful Ashley and so I am excited to show the first of the new fall line for Naugi! The piece featured in this romantic loosely rolled chignon is the Leaves of Grass Comb. I meant to have two of this piece on hand for the shoot because that’s how I saw it when I was designing it, as a duo of combs grouped together, but I ended up with only one and was still quite pleased. I love how the design dips into the rolls of hair in the above picture. Ashley was fun to work with and endured my poking and prodding in her hair for hours. I’ll show several pictures from the shoot this week and will start working on getting the new line up on our web site. The Leaves of Grass Comb is available now- here’s a closer look.

Secret Love Chandelier Earrings

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

secret_love

I am so excited to be introducing a new chandelier earring Secret Love! I’ve had this new design sitting on the shelf for a few months now just waiting to be photographed on a white background. I think photography may be another post all together which I will start thinking about…let me know if you have any specific questions about photographing jewelry (not that I’m an expert, but I do have a ton of experience).

Back to the earrings…they are just beautiful with the perfect weight and swing. I’d say they are a medium length at 2 1/4″ and would serve as the perfect compliment to a gown with subtle detailing.

As always please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Enjoy!

Luxurious & New Feather Headpieces

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

feathers1

I have been hard at work on a new collection featuring FEATHERS. I love the mass that this soft and billowy material can create. And… the movement that is created with each step you take is luxurious to me- a soft flutter and swoosh, swoosh as you walk. Ahhh, I just love little things like this!

There are a few cool features in this collection. The two top pieces, the Sabrina Comb and the Jackie’s Feathers Comb, both can be sent back to us after the wedding for feather removal. You’ll be left with a gorgeous comb to wear many times over and serve as a reminder of your special day!

The 3rd piece down, the Chantilly Lace Comb has a removable brooch. Again, wear this over and over. I LOVE idea this so much!

The bottom piece, the Clara Bow Headband is a lovely flapper like piece. The feathers sit a few inches above the right ear for a soft and glamorous look. This detail could actually be attached to a comb if you would prefer.

I love this new collection! It’s an affordable way to incorporate a larger headpiece and in a few of the designs have something left to treasure for years afterward.

Have you thought about wearing feathers for your wedding or rehearsal dinner?

A Sparkling Duo – The Starry Night Comb Set

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

starynight1I am really excited about the Starry Night Comb Set which  is actually two pieces- one large flower and one small flower each on its’ own comb! I think they are meant to be together so I photographed them clustered and they will be sold together as a set. The finish is a smoke gray enamel with touches of brass left to show through. Other enamel colors are available such as white and custom colors are available upon request. As always silver and gold plating are an option for those who don’t like the painted look. As you can see the petals are covered in Swarovski crystal making a really beautiful and sparkly presentation!

Coming Soon: The Enameled Orchid with Sparkling Swarovski Pears

orchid2

Coming soon (next week) and just in time for the gorgeous blooms of spring is the new Orchid Hair Ornament. It’s a lovely airy piece that looks playful placed flat in front and sort of sweeping over the side. Of course it’s is beautiful placed in back adorning a twist or chignon. The flowers are painted with enamel but are just as pretty left bare in silver or our pretty pale gold plating. It’s obvious how much I love the pear shaped Swarovski crystals because I’m using them in everything right now! There’s just so pretty with a glass like sparkle that I adore. Here’s a little detail for you:

I’ll update this post next week with a link to the product page for Orchid where it will be available for purchase. UPDATE: THE ORCHID BRIDAL HAIR ORNAMENT IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE PURCHASE BY CLICKING HERE.

Will you be incorporating a floral element into your headpiece?
